Meloneras Beach is just to the west of Maspalomas and makes for a much quieter alternative to the usually busy Playa del Ingles. A fairly deep beach and 500m long, this beach usually has plenty of room for everyone, even during the high season.
There are about half a dozen restaurants lining the beachfront as well as a small number of shops. Of course there are also a few hotels right on the beachfront and staying in this area will keep you in the heart of things, without having to deal with all the hustle and bustle of the big resorts next door.
Even spending an afternoon on this lovely beach is worth the short trip.
