‘Shopping’ on Avenida de Gáldar and the El Tablero shopping centre
Maspalomas is full of bargains and shopping temptations. For outdoor retail therapy head to Avenida de Galdar with its multitude of shops and cafés. Chinese bazaars and mobile phone shops are in the Plácido Domingo street and the best creative tapas at Los Joses at La Palmera Sur. Back to shopping: El Tablero has the areas newest shopping centre with 50 shops including Timberland, Punto Roma, Zara, BeautiK and Levi’s.
Upmarket brands in Maspalomas
For an upmarket experience visit the shops along the Boulevard El Faro just by the Maspalomas lighthouse in Meloneras. Here the elegant shopfronts with their colonial touches, such as columns and wooden doorways, belong to brands such as Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, La Perla, Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger. From here you can head to the Bellavista shopping centre, recognisable due to its dome, or El Varadero shopping centre for yet more shopping, or settle at one the outdoor cafés by the sea.
